Sukhu government misleading the public on RDG and ignoring Himachal's interests: Rakesh Thakur

Anurag era will return to BCCI, Supreme Court decision marks victory for justice: Rakesh Thakur
Bharatiya Janata Party District Hamirpur President Rakesh Thakur, along with district officials, heartily congratulated former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur on the lifting of the ban on his participation in BCCI activities and expressed gratitude to the Honorable Supreme Court for this fair decision. He said that this decision is proof that truth ultimately prevails and the allegations against Anurag Thakur have been proven baseless.
Rakesh Thakur said that Indian cricket has made unprecedented progress under Anurag Singh Thakur's leadership. During his tenure, the BCCI became a more transparent, organized, and accountable organization. He took concrete steps to nurture talent at the grassroots level, improve player welfare, promote women's cricket, and strengthen the domestic cricket structure. His efforts not only made India a world cricket superpower but also a role model in the field of sports administration. He expressed confidence that under the guidance of a young, energetic, and visionary leader like Anurag Thakur, not only cricket but the entire Indian sports world will reach new heights.
Speaking on the issue of RDG (Revenue Deficit Grant), Rakesh Thakur said that the Congress government led by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is deliberately misleading the people of Himachal Pradesh. He clarified that it was already clear at the time of the 15th Finance Commission's recommendations that the Revenue Deficit Grant would be discontinued in the 16th Finance Commission. Therefore, the Sukhu government should have seriously raised this issue with the Union Finance Ministry earlier.
He questioned whether the Chief Minister was asleep or deliberately waiting for the budget to release so that he could level false allegations against the Central Government, as has become his habit. He alleged that throughout his tenure, the Chief Minister was busy making baseless allegations against the central government, while his exhausted administrative team was preoccupied with enjoying government benefits and playing golf.
Rakesh Thakur said that the Sukhu government worked tirelessly for its favorites, but consistently ignored the interests of the general public. Development projects have stalled, financial management is weak, and the state is being pushed into uncertainty.
Rakesh Thakur also said that it will be interesting to see Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's stance on the proposal by Anurag Singh Thakur and other Himachal MPs to jointly raise financial issues concerning the state's interests with the Union Finance Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). He said that if Sukhu is truly serious about Himachal's interests, he should leave politics and join with the MPs to strongly represent the state's position in Delhi, instead of engaging in rhetoric and blame-game politics.
