'Technical Festival' to be organized for trainees: Rajesh Dharmani

Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training Minister, Rajesh Dharmani presided over a review meeting of the Department of Technical Education, HP Skill Development Corporation (HPKVN), HP Technical University and HP Technical Education Board here today.

The Technical Education Minister directed HPKVN to complete all the ongoing projects expeditiously and in stipulated time frame. He said that quality training should be provided to the trainees by making best use of machinery and equipments. He further directed that the faculty members would be motivated for skill upgradation to keep pace with the advancement in technology and provide quality training. A dedicated cell should be created at the directorate level for internship and placement. New age technical courses should be started and by reviewing the courses, new subjects like professional ethics, financial and project management, retrofitting technology, agricultural machines, artificial intelligence, foreign languages, robotics and machine learning should be introduced, remarked the Minister.

Sh. Dharmani also directed to organize a 'Technical Festival' in the department in which all the technical and professional institutes will participate and showcase the work done by the trainees in the field of engineering and technology.

The Director of Technical Education, Akshey Sood detailed various courses running in all the technical institutes.
