Capacity building workshop organised in Sujanpur

Hamirpur, June 11

An international capacity building workshop on ‘E-Waste Management’ is organised in government degree college at Sujanpur near here today. The workshop was organised in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh State Science  Technology and Environment Council and Eco Club of the college.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Dinesh Pathak professor from University of West Indies said that protection and preservation of environment is need of the hour as this would only help in existence of life on the earth. He also addressed various issues pertaining to environment pollution and global warming.  Dr. Ashwani Rana from National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, Dr. Sapna Rana coordinator of the workshop and Dr. Arvind Kumar also addressed the workshop.

Dr. Ajayab Singh Banyal principal of the college said that the workshop was important as it sensitized participants on various threats to environment and its adverse affects to life and flora and fauna on the international perspective. He said that over 50 research scholars read their research papers in the workshop and the information delivered by them would be of great help for mankind and research fellows in future.
