Rapist Father convicted with 25 years of imprisonment for Raping Minor daughter

Justice Bhuvnesh Awasthi of special court here convicted a father of minor who allegedly rapped his minor daughter with regorous imprisonment of 25 years and fine of Rs. One lac today. The special court sentenced rape accused under section SIX of POCSO act and also pronounced to pay compensation of Rs. Five Lac to the victim. It was learnt that convict who was a driver had raped his daughter, the victim who was seventh class student when the matter was reported to the police in July last year.
Sandeep Agnihotri Special Public Prosecutor who conducted the trial said that as many as 20 witnesses were examined in the case to establish the crime. He said that special court had pronounced the sentence of rigorous imprisonment of 25 years and fine of Rs, One lac. He said that court also awarded compensation of Rs. Five lac to the victim.
