HPTDC force on Heels as MD made surprise visit

The staff of Hiimchal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation was surprised as Rajiv Kumar Managing Director of HPTDC arrived at various units of the corporation in district Kangra today in the early hours. He visited Hotel Dhauladhar, Hotel Kashmir and Kunal in Dharamsala city and Bhagsu Convention Centre and Club House Annexe at Mecleodganj. Notably, MD of the corporation is on regular spree to inspect the condition of hotels of the corporation and sending wakeup call to lazy working staff.

In the afternoon Rajiv Kumar made a visit to Hotel Nupur at Nurpur and Pong Dam Huts in Nagrota Surian area on the banks of Pong Dam. He said that the Bhagsu Convention Centre would be renovated so that it could be put to best use. He added that Bhagsu Convention Centre is one of the prime Property of tourism corporation and need to be made viable property that faced neglect for long time.

MD said that RS Bali chairman of HPTDC had directed to make every unit of the corporation a profitable unit as Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh has envisioned to make tourism a major economy booster for the state. Apart from improving existing units CM had also advised corporation to plan more hotels and identify unexplored areas for tourism development, he added.
