Bhawana Thakur a student of class ninth of government high school Thathwani in the district bagged Gold medal in weight lifting in under 17 category in state school games concluded at government senior secondary school Bilaspur yesterday.
Seema Sharma headmistress of the school said that another student of the school Neha bagged bronze medal in 59 kilogram weight category by lifting 75 kg weight. She said that Bhawana Thakur would represent state in national school games championship to be held in Manipur from December 11 to 17.
She said that the victory of the students of the school was big achievement for the school and students and had brought laurels to the district as well.
