CM announces Jal Shakti division at Jawalamukhi, BDO office at Surani
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today presided over the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ program at Amb-Pathiyar under Jawalamukhi assembly constituency and interacted with the people to know their grievances. He said that special Lok Adalats were held throughout the State during the last three months, wherein, record 89091 cases of mutation and 6029 pending cases of partition were settled giving relief to the people, who kept waiting for years to get their revenue cases resolved.  In district Kangra, 21,483 cases of mutation and 1133 cases of partition were settled during the period. 
Addressing a huge public gathering on the occasion, the Chief Minister announced opening of the office of Block Development officer in Surani, opening division of Jal Shakti Department in Jawalamukhi and subdivision in Majheen, besides announcing the up-gradation of Majheen and Lagdu sub-tehsils. He also announced opening of sub-tehsil in Bhadoli and opening of Patwar circles in Luthan and Hiran.
He also announced construction of a bridge at Suthoda-Pattan and Sudhangal on River Beas, construction of heliport at Jawalamukhi, construction of administrative building at Jawalamukhi College along with starting of PG classes in Commerce, Mathematics, Political Science and Hindi. Along with this, he said that Jawalamukhi College will be named after freedom fighter Pandit Sushil Rattan, father of sitting MLA Sanjay Rattan. He announced the up-gradation of Government High Schools Dehriyan and Choukaath to GSSS, up-gradation of Government Middle Schools Vangal Chowki, Thada, Salihar and Bohan-Bhari to high schools. He also announced opening of Primary Health Centre in Pihadi and a sub-division of HPSEBL in Lagdu besides announcing 33 KW sub-stations at Majhin and Thehra.
Many decisions were taken to during the last one year to make Himachal self-reliant and we have extended the benefits of the welfare schemes at the grass root level to benefit the poor and downtrodden. The Chief Minister said that the state government was going to open more employment avenues for the youth in the government sector, giving preference to merit holders.  Our Government, soon after coming to power disbanded the Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur which had become hub of corruption. Papers were sold here. Our Government has created the State Selection Commission to provide equal opportunity to youth and maintain transparency in selection process, he remarked.  
He said that financial mismanagement of the previous BJP government pushed Himachal Pradesh into economic crisis and our government has been making all efforts to come out of this situation and steps have been taken to create State's own resources to make Himachal self-reliant. 
During the disaster, several senior leaders of BJP, including the Prime Minister were urged to provide a special relief package to Himachal Pradesh. He pointed out that all the three BJP Members of parliament from the State should be asked about their contribution during the disaster. They even didn't plead the case with their central leaders in an effective manner. Not even a single penny has been received from the Central Government apart from the States legitimate due share. 
The government reinstated the old pension scheme despite financial constraints. He said that the state government is opening Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in every assembly constituency, taken a decision to introduce English medium from first class onwards from the next academic session, he reiterated. 
Degree College Management, Jawalamukhi, presented a check of Rs 31,000 towards the Chief Minister for the Disaster Relief Fund.
Local MLA Sanjay Rattan expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving full day to his constituency and dedicating numerous development projects. 
Agriculture Minister, Chander Kumar, Health and Family Welfare Minister,Dr. (Col) Dhani Ram Shandil, AYUSH Minister Yadvinder Goma, former MP Viplove  Thakur, former MLA Ajay Mahajan, Congress leaders Surender Mankotia, Nardev Kanwar, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Prem Kaushal, Chairman Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ram Chandra Pathania, were also present amongst others.
