Senior Congress leader GS Bali died on Friday night.

Senior Congress leader and former Transport Minister GS Bali died on Friday night at AIIMS in here on Friday night, he was 67 years old.

Bali had undergone a kidney transplant and was admitted to AIIMS following post-operation complications. His son RS Bali informed media about the death of GS Bali.

His body will be brought to Kangra today. Bali was a four-time MLA from Nagrota Bagwan and was a minister in Congress governments from 2003 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2017.

Jai Ram Thakur Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal Former Chief Minister expressed grief on the demise of GS Bali.

Leader of opposition in state Assembly Mukesh Agnihotri, HPCC president Kuldeep Rathor and former HPCC president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed grief on Bali’s demise.

Gurmukh Singh Bali was born on July 27, 1954 in Kangra was a diploma holder in mechanical engineering.

His body was flown to Dharamsala today and the last rites would be performed in Chamunda Dham on Sunday, according to family sources.
