Members of Dr. Pushpinder Verma (DPV) Fan Club sanitized number of rural villages in the district. Significantly, the some youth of the district had formed a social club after they were encouraged by Dr. Pushpinder Verma General Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Medical Officers Association to help poor and needy. Inspired youth decided to title the club after his name and started helping poor and needy and has also worked to educate society on the hazards of drugs. The club also organized number of sports events in the past to attract they young minds towards sports and refrain from drug abuse.

Meanwhile , the members of the club were serving the society in a noble way now by sanitizing villages in the district. While attempts were made by different organizations to distribute ration and masks, DPV Fan Club decided to sanitize the villages and educate people on how to maintain social distancing. Dharmesh Rana member of the club said that stock and logistic support for the mission sanitization was given by Dr. Pushpinder Verma. He said that Sodium hypochlorite Solution was used to sanitize the areas of villages including houses, paths shops and community houses. He said that members of the club were working in their respective villages. So far villages including Daruhi, Matani, Saster, Khagal, Burnad, Kushwad, VikasNagar, Bari and Dhaned were covered, he added.

Dr. Pushipinder Verma said that he was ready to help society in this period of distress. He said that urban areas were sanitized by the local bodies, so the members of the club decided to sanitize and educate in the rural villages.

Know Dr. Pushpinder Verma

Dr. Pushpinder Verma is Medical Officer working with health department of government of Himachal Pradesh. He is also general secretary of Himachal Pradesh Medical Officers Association. He was serving at Dr. Radhakrishanal Government Medical College and Hospital Hamirpur and presently pursuing higher studies in community medicine at MMMC Solan.

He is youngest son of Ranjit Singh Verma former Industries Minister in government of Himachal Pradesh. Significantly, he was the first doctor of the state who offered on phone medical consultation to patients with the announcement of lockdown.
