Shoolini University signs MoU with IIT Madras for student employability and academic excellence

Shoolini University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras for academic collaboration and skill development.
The agreement aims to foster joint diploma and degree programmes, enhance the skills and employability of Shoolini University students, and facilitate their active participation in IIT Madras' globally recognised academic and digital education initiatives. Through this collaboration, Shoolini University will establish IIT Madras CODE (Centre for Outreach and Digital Education) Chapters on its campus to streamline the implementation of various academic programmes.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Prathap Haridoss, Dean Academic Courses at IIT Madras, and Prof. P.K. Khosla, Chancellor Shoolini University. The collaboration reflects the shared vision of both institutions to provide high-quality, accessible, and industry-relevant education to students and learners across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. P K Khosla said, this partnership with IIT Madras aligns with our mission to provide global learning opportunities to our students. Through initiatives such as SWAYAM-NPTEL and IITM’s diploma programmes, we aim to equip our students with cutting-edge skills that enhance their employability and prepare them for the global workforce.
IIT Madras, established under the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961, is renowned for its excellence in education and research. Its Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (IITM CODE) manages all outreach and online initiatives, including the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), IITM BS Degree programs, Web-enabled MTech programs, workshops, and certification courses.
The key objectives of the MoU are to enhance the skills and employability of Shoolini University students and learners, coordinating participation of Shoolini students, faculty, and learners in IITM programmes, including SWAYAM-NPTEL and IIT Madras diploma programmes, establishing IITM CODE Chapters at Shoolini University to facilitate and expand academic outreach.
