Shoolini University Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla has been named among the Top 25 Vice Chancellors of Indian Universities 2026 by LamiCons, a leading platform that honours excellence and leadership in higher education.
The recognition celebrates academic leaders who have made outstanding contributions to higher education through innovation, research, global engagement, and institutional excellence. Prof. Khosla's inclusion reflects his sustained efforts towards building a globally competitive university.
Under his leadership, Shoolini University has grown into one of India's leading research-driven private institutions. It has been ranked India's No. 1 Private University in the QS World University Rankings 2027, placed 452nd globally as the only Indian private university in the global Top 500, and named No. 1 in Asia for Citations per Paper in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026. The University has deepened its global presence through partnerships with reputed international universities, widened its industry links, and built a strong research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem alongside student-centred learning.
Expressing his gratitude, Prof Khosla dedicated the honour to the entire Shoolini University fraternity. He said it reflected the collective efforts of the University's faculty, researchers, students, alumni, and staff, whose dedication and commitment had been instrumental in the institution's growth.
An education leader and global strategist, Prof. Khosla has played a transformative role in redefining higher education in India. At Shoolini University, he has introduced initiatives ranging from collaborations with leading global universities and industries to multidisciplinary academic programs, technology-enabled teaching, a skills-based curriculum aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), and one of India's most advanced digital learning ecosystems.
He is also the Founder and CEO of Daskalos, an initiative that helps leading international universities set up campuses in India. He serves as an Honorary Enterprise Professor at The University of Melbourne, one of the world's most prestigious universities, a role that reflects his standing in global academia.
Before entering academia, Prof. Khosla built a distinguished international career in management consulting, holding senior roles at McKinsey & Company, Oliver Wyman, Everest Group, a-connect (Switzerland), and Watson Wyatt. Over more than 25 years, he advised governments, regulators, and multinational organisations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas on financial services, outsourcing, education policy, and organisational transformation. His policy advisory work has included engagements with SEBI, RBI, the Prime Minister's Office, NASSCOM, TEXPROCIL, and the Government of Gujarat. He holds a B Tech from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai.
