Himachal ‘s Lahaul-Spiti reports first coronavirus case

Himachal Pradesh’s tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti reported its first coronavirus case on Monday after a 25-year-old labourer from Bihar tested positive for the disease, officials said.

The sample of the labourer, who is working with the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), was taken at the Keylong regional hospital, they said. With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Himachal Pradesh has risen to 918. The state has 379 active cases. So far, 518 people have recovered, 11 migrated out of the state and eight died, according to the officials.
