BJP District Media In-charge Vikramjeet Singh Banyal issued a press release stating that, due to the effective intervention of former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur constituency, Anurag Singh Thakur, Dev Raj, a resident of Pandwin Panchayat who had gone missing from the Narwal area of Jammu, has been safely located in Jammu city.
Vikramjeet Singh Banyal informed that Dev Raj went missing from the Narwal area of Jammu on January 20, 2026. In this regard, Dev Raj's wife, Neetu Devi, contacted local BJP representative and former Mandal President Adarsh Kant Sharma and shared her plight. Understanding the seriousness of the matter, Adarsh Kant Sharma immediately contacted Anurag Thakur and requested assistance.
MP Anurag Singh Thakur, without delay, brought the matter to the attention of the concerned officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, following which swift action was taken at the administrative level. The Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that Dev Raj had been safely found in Jammu city after nine days. His family members then thanked Anurag Thakur and breathed a sigh of relief. Currently, Dev Raj is under police protection at the Narwal Police Station in Jammu, and his family members and wife Neetu Devi have left for Jammu, where, after completing the necessary formalities, Dev Raj will be brought home.
Vikramjeet Singh Banyal said that this is not the first time that Anurag Singh Thakur's administrative influence and his coordination with officials across the country have yielded positive results in such cases. He has previously played a significant role in helping many young people and citizens out of difficult situations through his proactive initiatives. In addition, in cases of Indian citizens stranded abroad, Anurag Thakur has also coordinated with the Ministry of External Affairs and the concerned embassies to provide relief to their families. Vikramjit Singh Banyal said that this entire incident once again proves that the sensitivity, promptness, and administrative coordination of elected representatives can play a decisive role in resolving the serious problems of ordinary citizens.
