PM Narendra Modi should give special package to Himachal

Shimla(QNN)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi should announce a special package for Himachal Pradesh, considering its deteriorating economy  the Congress had demanded.
State Congress president Pratibha Singh said the state had a debt burden of Rs 70,000 crore and claimed it was not getting any financial help from the Centre. She alleged investigations in the police recruitment paper leak case were lax and the government was only wasting time.
While interacting with media , Pratibha Singh claimed none of the promises and announcements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of the state were fulfilled.
While referring to Modi’s upcoming visit to Himachal, she said whenever the PM goes on a tour of any state, he makes announcements for the state on behalf of the Government of India. Modi called Himachal his second home but his vision for his second home was limited, she claimed.
On police recruitment examination paper leak case, she said she was surprised that those candidates who had expressed the suspicion of paper leak were also being arrested. The government was afraid of catching the real culprits, that was why the main kingpin was still far from the grip of the law, she claimed. The Youth Congress was agitating on the issue and the protests would continue till justice was done to these candidates.
Terming the reduction of central excise duty on petrol and diesel “minor”, Singh said the government had earlier filled its coffers, now its leaders were beating drums of public interest.
