Khalistan supporters have threatened through recorded calls that they will not allow Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to hoist the tricolor on August 15. This audio has been sent on the mobiles of some journalists of the state.

The recorded call states that Himachal was a part of Punjab. Referendum will be held in Punjab and Himachal will be included in Punjab again.
The supporters of Khalistan have appealed that Himachal farmers should take to the streets with tractors and do not allow CM Jairam Thakur to hoist tricolour oh August 15.
Himachal Pradesh Police has started investigating in this regard. A police spokesperson said that the calls recorded by Khalistan supporters have been sent on mobile of some journalists of the state. He said that Himachal Pradesh Police is fully capable of protection the state and dealing with anti-national forces. Central Security agencies have also been informed in this regard.
