16 tested positive for corona virus in Himachal

16 more persons were tested positive for corona virus in the state today. All those who were tested positive had a travel history from Mumbai and had returned in trains and taxis recently. Only one person from Hamiprur had not visited out of the state but was primary contact of a person returned from Mumbai and was tested positive earlier. Those tested positive today till filing of this report included six from district kangra and five each from Solan and Hamipur districts.  The tally of the state with these cases had surged to 126

Those who tested positive in Kangra included 41 year old female of village Adhwani, 54 year old male of village Saliali in Nurpur, 24 year old male from Nagrota Bagwan town, 36 year old male from Bhawarna  and 57 year old male from village Kathla in Jaisinghpur area.

Rakesh Prajapati Deputy Commissioner said that those who were tested positive have been shifted to Covid Care centre at Baijnath. This had taken numbers of corona positive cases in Kangra district to 40. All those who have tested positive had come back to district from Mumbai and were under institutional quarantine.

Five persons tested positive in Hamirpur today taking the tally of total covid patient to 20. Four of those tested positive had returned from Mumbai while one was primary contact of person earlier tested positive. The persons tested positive today included a woman aged 45 from Amnad and her son 21 in Bhoranj Subdivision. While three others tested positive were from Hamirpur sundivision included a person 63 years old from village Dhghera, 51 year old from village Sunwin and 21 year old from Gwararu. The 21 year old was son of a civid-19 patient who had returned from Mumbai.

Archna Soni CMO here said that all five patients were being shifted to covid dedicated hospital at Bhota. These included four men and a woman, she added.

All five tested positive in Solan district had come from West Bangal on May 13 in a truk. All were under institutional quarantine at Maanpur in Nalagarh subdivision.
