A case of attempt to murder and other sections of IPC was registered against two Jamaati’s who violated the quarantine orders. The accused jamatis were identified as Sumin Mohammed and Hashmat of villages Chaukimanyar, and Nakroh in the district.
It was alleged that the accused Sumin Mohammed had joined the Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi and he was found Corona positive. He was seen roaming out despite being quarantined in the mosque. Hashmat reportedly, helped Sumin Mohammed to come out of the mosque. It was learnt that Hashmat had completed his 14-day quarantine. Police had registered a case against both of them under various sections of IPC including attempt to murder.
Superintendent of Police Una Karthikeyan Gokulachandran said that Corona positive Sumin Mohammed was treated at a private clinic in Chowchimanyar. The doctor of the private clinic was also quarantined. He said that both Sumin and hashmat were booked under various sections, including attempt to murder.
