Organizes Community Service Activity under Unnat Bharat Mission

Under the Unnat Bharat Mission, Government Polytechnic Hamirpur successfully organized a community outreach programme at Gram Panchayat Balh, Hamirpur. The initiative aimed at strengthening the institute’s engagement with the local community and promoting inclusive rural development through awareness and participatory activities. The programme was organized under the theme “Jal Utsav”, in alignment with the Jal Jeevan Mission, with a strong emphasis on water conservation, responsible water usage, and developing sensitivity towards sustainable water management practices. During the programme, the local residents were made aware of various simple and effective methods to conserve water in their households and surrounding areas. The team actively interacted with the community members and made sincere efforts to address the water-related issues and concerns raised by the participants, making the programme interactive and solution-oriented.

The programme was organized by Mr. Varun Gupta, Dr. Amit Nayyer, Mr. Ritesh Awasthi, Mr. Mukesh Bhardwaj, and Mr. Shiv Kumar from the Department of Computer Engineering, Government Polytechnic Hamirpur. Principal of the institute, Er. Chandershekar, stated that the primary objective of the Jal Jeevan Mission is to ensure the supply of safe and adequate drinking water to every rural household. He appreciated the efforts of the faculty members for their active involvement in community service and their contribution towards national development initiatives. Such programmes reflect the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and its active role in supporting government initiatives aimed at sustainable and inclusive development.
