HPTDC to provide free EV charging at Hotels to customers: MD

MD said that a green tarmac would be marked at the charging points and this facility would be free for the customers of the HPTDC. He said that the initiative would attract more customers to HPTDC units and add to the revenue of the corporation.

All hotels and other tourist facilities of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation would have free electric vehicle charging stations in the state. This was stated by Rajiv Kumar Managing Director of HPTDC. He said that the installation of 14 EV charging stations was already completed and installation at all the units would be completed within two months. The EVCS are installed at Pine Wood Barog, Meghdoot Kiari Ghat, Baghal Darlaghat, Shivalik Parwanoo all in district Solan, Holiday Home Shimla, Peterhoff Shimla, Willy’s Park Shimla, Apple Blossom Fagu in district Shimla, Hotel Spiti and Kaza in district Lauhal Spiti, Manimahesh at Dalhousie in district Chamba, Hotel Nupur at Nurpur, Hotel Yaumna at Ponta Sahib and Himchal Bhawan at Chandigarh.

Rajiv Kumar said RS Bali MLA and Chairman of  HPTDC had envisioned to make HPTDC more profitable corporation of the state. He added that this mission could be by attracting more tourists to HPTDC units by providing state of the art facilities to the customers. He said that a trust building process had been started for both customers and the employees of the corporation. “We have best and most trained hospitality personnel in HPTDC and no other institution and deliver Himachali Cuisine and hospitality than our team”, said Rajiv Kumar.

He said that he had directed all unit heads to prepare inventory of stock available with them so that added facilities could be planed accordingly. The HPTDC units are advised to observe highest level of cleanliness and hygiene at the properties as well. He said that it was observed that at some units e-billing system was not started hence HPTDC would start e-billing in all units by January 31. He said that e-billing is helpful in maintain accounts effectively and is also convenient for the customers too.
