Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched the logo of Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation Ltd. to be named as Him-Craft here today.
The Chief Minister said that the new logo would emerge as the new brand name for Himachali handlooms and crafts thereby generating more employment avenues to the youth and providing livelihood to them. He lauded the efforts of the corporation for promoting the handicrafts and handloom of the State as this sector provides livelihood to thousands of artisans’ families associated with the business. He said that Himachali crafts are in great demand locally as well as globally. He emphasized on ensuring authenticity for increasing customer satisfaction and trust building on all handicrafts and handloom products made by artisans and weavers of Himachal Pradesh.
Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan apprised the Chief Minister that Himachali crafts were presented to G-20 delegates held at Dharamshala recently and all of them evinced keen interest in these handmade products. He also detailed about various products to the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur, Managing Director Him-Craft Jatin Lal and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
