Himachal Pradesh, which ranked first in the first dose of Covid vaccine, has also set a big target for the second dose. By November 30, all the eligible people of Himachal will be given the second dose of the vaccine, for which a big target has been kept here.
The Health department has also started preparations for this. However, those who have been given the first vaccine for more than 84 days, they are being given the second vaccine. The work of vaccination people in the state with both the doses is also going on simultaneously.
Himachal has a population of 55 lakhs who are to be vaccinated. So far, 16 lakh 93 thousand people have been vaccinated with both the doses in the state. It constituted 29 percent of the total population. According to the Health Department, a gap of 84 days is necessary between the first and second doses of vaccination.
In January, the program of vaccinating people was started. In such a situation, it took six months for the Himachal government to vaccinate the population of 55 lakhs. There was also a shortage of vaccine in the middle of the state. Because of this, the vaccination program of people in the age group of 18 to 44 years also had to be stopped for 15 to 20 days.
