Rahul Gandhi, JP Nadda, CM Jai Ram Thakur paid tribute to Virbhadra Singh; slogans raised by Raja Saheb Amar Rahe

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh by paying floral tributes on the body. Rahul Gandhi also spoke with Virbhadra Singh’s family for some time and after that he returned. The body was kept for the last glimpse in the parking lot of Rajiv Bhawan, the headquater of Himachal Congress. Here people raised slogans of ‘Raja Saheb Amar Rahe’.

BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda along with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur reached Shimla’s historic Ridge Maidan on Friday morning at 10:57 am to pay last respects to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Nadda paid his last respects to Virbhadra Singh on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier, the body was brought to the Congress headquaters from Ridge Maidan via Mall Road. At 1:30 pm, the family left for Rampur with the body.  Vikramaditya Singh left in the vehicle with the body. The family reached Rampur with the body at 6 o’ clock in the evening.

On Saturday, July 10, the body will be kept for darshan at Raj Darbar Padam Palace, Rampur from 8am to 2 pm. The funeral will be held in Rampur at 3pm.
