Shimla: For every depot in Himachal, an additional ration quota of 5 percent can be found this month. The Food Supply Corporation has taken this decision to ensure that there is no shortage of ration in the depots of the state through online ration distribution system. If the ration is left in the depot, it can be given to consumers next month. On one hand, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has started the system of online ration distribution on Monday. The same Food Civil and Consumer Affairs Department has connected the pos machines installed in all depots with software.
