Congress Party and Its Leaders Are Compromising India’s Dignity: Rakesh Thakur

District BJP President Rakesh Thakur has strongly criticized the Congress Party and its leadership for repeatedly making statements that undermine India’s global standing and question the achievements of the Indian government and armed forces.
Rakesh Thakur said that Congress leaders no longer trust official data released by the Indian government and instead rely on anti-national narratives to push their political agenda. “It seems their only objective is to keep their sinking political boat afloat by raising doubts on the accomplishments of our country and its brave forces,” he added.
Citing the success of Operation Sindoor, he emphasized that the mission was a remarkable example of the valor of Indian defense services and the effectiveness of the current government’s strategic governance. “The entire country celebrated this glorious success, but the Congress Party appeared depressed—similar to the reactions seen in some anti-India countries. Worse, Congress leaders demanded proof from their own army, showing their sheer disrespect and mistrust,” he remarked.
He said that on the economic frontunder the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has transformed from being the 11th largest economy in 2014 to the 4th largest in 2024. “It is shameful that Congress leaders are now backing irresponsible and inaccurate remarks by former US President Donald Trump, who called India a 'dead economy',” he said.
Rakesh Thakur quoted global economic institutions that IMF has projected India’s GDP growth at 6.4%, much ahead of China (4.8%), Britain (1.2%), and USA (1.9%) in near future. World Bank has also hailed India as a ‘Star Economy’.
Rakesh Thakur further pointed out the irony in Rahul Gandhi's economic criticism, revealing that Rahul Gandhi himself has earned massively through the Indian stock market. “In 2014, his declared investments in shares and mutual funds were ₹83 lakhs. These grew to ₹5 crores in 2019 and now stand at ₹8 crores in 2024. In just the last 5 months, he has earned more than ₹46 lakhs. If this is a dead economy, how is Rahul Gandhi gaining so much from it?” Rakesh Thakur asked.
He also questioned the logic of Congress leaders supporting the "dead economy" narrative when nations like UK are entering Open Trade Agreements with India and the USA has been actively negotiating trade deals for the past four months.
Concluding his statement, Rakesh Thakur said, “India today is a Rocket Economy, and Prime Minister Modi is tirelessly working towards his mission of India First. The Congress Party’s comments are not just politically motivated—they are reflective of a frustrated, dynastic mindset that is disconnected from the ground reality and national interest.”
