Rajeev Kumar: First MD who visited all Hotels of HPTDC
Rajeev Kumar not only visited the properties of the corporation but inspected the kitchens, hotel linen, condition of washrooms and even dresses of the staff. In his major changes he ensured that every property has EV charging facility and cleanliness. He advised HPTDC staff to follow strict hygiene measures in respective hotels/ hostels and tourist inns being run by the corporation.

Rajeev Kumar, Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation probably is the first MD of the corporation who visited all Hotels of the corporation spread across the state with his visit to Tourist Inn at Rajgarh in district Sirmour today.
Notably, Rajeev Kumar assumed the charge of HPTDC last year and started making revolutionary changes in the working of HPTDC and improving facilities in at the properties of the corporation. Pertinent to mention that Rajeev Kumar not only visited the properties of the corporation but inspected the kitchens, hotel linen, condition of washrooms and even dresses of the staff. In his major changes he ensured that every property has EV charging facility and cleanliness. He advised HPTDC staff to follow strict hygiene measures in respective hotels/ hostels and tourist inns being run by the corporation.
Rajeev Kumar said that the tourist Inn at Rajgarh is a small unit of HPTDC and usually operated as a trackers hostel. The corporation do not provide meals here and only one man handles the affairs at Rajgarh. He said that it was planned to provide more facilities at Rajgarh and also increase the staff here. He called the only employee as ‘One Man Army’ as there is not even a helper to support him.
Speaking on the discounts in the winter season, Rajive Kumar said that the corporation had announced discount in HPTDC hotels from 20 percent to 40 percent depending on their locations between January 3 and April 15, 2025. He said that people from the state and tourists from outside the state can avail these discounts by visiting web site https://hptdc.in/ of HPTDC . He said HPTDC has wide network of accommodation that comprises of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias serving varied cuisine, including Himachali delicacies.
All these properties are in superb locations in the lap of nature and tourist can enjoy Premium – Heritage, Deluxe and Budget Hotels of the corporation. No other organization can show Himachal better than HPTDC, he said.
