Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said taht the centre government had increased financial assistance to Rs. One lac Crore in the budget announced by the finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman yesterday. He said that this would add pace to development in the state. He said that Nadaun subdivision in the district would also have railway connectivity and union government had sanctioned the project. This would be of great use as it would be close to the medical college campus too. He said that the state government would provide every help require for the project on priority.
CM said that Prime Minister Narender Modi had helped the state and had given special aid of Rs. 600 crore to the state. He said that the government had proposed to connect panchyats of hill state through ropeways where road connectivity was difficult. He said that this proposal was sent by HP government that was appreciated and implemented.
Jai Ram Thakur said that over 80 gram panchyats in the state of 3615 still waiting road connectivity. These could not be connected due to tough and hilly terrains that pass through serene forests. He said that the new scheme would make it possible to connect these areas.
