Announces opening of HPSEB Sub Division at Dodra-Kwar and Jal Shakti Junior Engineer Section at Dodra

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of developmental projects of over Rs. 7.02 crore at Kawar in Rohru Assembly Constituency, in remotest corner of Shimla district on September 22.

These projects included Rs. 3.84 crore for various water supply schemes under Jal Shakti Vibhag Sub Division Kawar, Rs. 1.16 crore GWSS to village Kitearwari, Rs. 79 lakh Ground water supply scheme to village Dodra, Rs. 60 lakh GWSS to Dhanderwari, Rs. 23 lakh GWSS to Jakha and Rs. 40 lakh GWSS to Jiskun under Jal Shakti Vibhag Sub Division Kawar.

Addressing mass gathering at Kwar, Chief Minister announced opening of HPSEB Sub Division at Dodra Kwar and Jal Shakti Junior Engineer Section at Dodra. He also announced Rs. 20 lakh for Jiskun road, Rs. 15 lakh each for five panchayats of the area for carrying out developmental works in their respective areas. CM announced opening of SMS Office at Kwar and Rs. 10 lakh each for six newly created gram panchayats of Rohru Assembly Constituency for construction of new panchayat bhawans. CM also announced Rs. 15000 each for 17 mahila mandals of the area from his discretionary fund. 

He said that issues of setting up BSNL and Airtel towers would be taken up with concerned authorities to ensure better signal connectivity in the area.

Jai Ram Thakur said that efforts would be made to bring people of Dodra Kwar area under OBC category. He said that formalities would be completed at the earliest. He said that all vacant posts of the different departments including SDM in the area would be filled up on priority basis.

CM said that Chanshal area would be developed under Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein Scheme for Ski and winter sports destinations. He said that this would give boost to tourism activities thereby increasing the economy of the people of the area.  He said that Jiskun-Jakha road would be completed at the earliest.

Chief Minister directed department for early completion of upgradation work of Larot-Dodra Kwar road. He said that any laxity in this matter would be treated seriously and stern action would be taken against the erring officers.

Jai Ram Thakur also brought 2500 doses of corona vaccine for people of Dodra Kwar area from Shimla with him. Students of Dodra Kwar also met the Chief Minister and urged him to open the schools at the earliest.

Jai Ram Thakur said that during the present tenure of the State Government, it has ensured equitable and balanced development of every section of the society and every area of the State. He said that despite the fact that about one and a half year of the present tenure adversely affected due to the corona pandemic, the State Government ensured that it comes upto the developmental aspirations of the people of the State.

Chairperson H.P. State Cooperative, Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ltd. Shashi Bala welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed out various developmental activities and demands of the area. Deputy Commissioner Aditya Negi and other senior officers were also present.
