The State had 80 covid dedicated centers with 8,765 beds including 880 ICU beds that could be enhanced up to 11000. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a video conference here today. He said that the state had successfully vaccinated its 100 percent eligible population of over 18 year age group. He said that over 74 lakh doses were administered to the people including first and second dose so far. He said that there were only 1,500 active cases in the state as the government was working round the clock to overcome the threat of Corona.
Earlier, he dedicated newly installed PSA Oxygen Plant at Civil Hospital, Palampur under PM Care Fund that would support 100 beds. This plant was installed at a cost of Rs.2 crore. He also dedicated online the PSA Oxygen plant at Zonal Hospital, Dharamshala, built at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore. He also inaugurated the newly established PSA Oxygen plants at Una, DCHC, Haroli and Palakwah in Una district through video conferencing mode. The PSA Oxygen Plant at DCHC Palakwah was donated by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur would support 34 beds and DCHC Haroli donated by M/S Nestle India Private Limited would support 50 beds. The PSA Oxygen plant at Zonal Hospital Una with capacity of 1000 LPM installed under PM Care Funds and was set up at a cost of Rs.2 crore.
Taking a dig at the Opposition, CM said that congress believed in criticism only as it had neglected the health sector during its various regimes. He said that there were only two Oxygen plants in the State, one at IGMC, Shimla and second at Rajendra Prashad Medical College, Tanda but today state has raised its guard against corona virus and had over 2,200 oxygen concentrators at various health institutions in the State.

Gupta and CMO Una Dr. Raman Sharma, PRI representatives, BJP office bearers and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
