Apples were purchased at ten years old price alleged State Congress President

The company owned by Adani group had started fleecing farmers and orchardists in the state after BJP had assumed power in the state. This was alleged by Kuldeep Rathor president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee here today. He said that it was in congress regime Adani group was given permission to setup cold stores in the state to improve the economy of the farmers including apple growers. He said that buying practice was fair till congress was in power but the company started playing tricks after BJP came into power. He lamented that the silence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in the matter indicated that even the government was unable to help apple growers. Kuldeep Rather categorically said that it was no secret that Adani and Prime Minister Narender Modi were good friends and hence CM was helpless.
He said that Adani purchased apple at Rs. 72 per Kilogram ten years ago and he offered same price in the current season that would lead to economic crises to the apple growers.
Speaking on the bye elections in the state, Kuldeep Rather said that the communication of state government was reason for deferring elections. He said that government knew that BJP would lose all seats including three assembly and one parliament. He said that people had made up mind to topple the government as BJP had failed on all fronts including law and order, Price hike, corruption and unemployment.
He said that farmers and orchardists were against government. He said that even in the constituency of CM, congress had gained momentum.
He said that the vision document of BJP was yet to see light of day. The Bureaucracy was out of control and incompetent official were placed in at important positions that had led to poor administration in the state, he added.
Rathor also indicated his interest in contesting assembly election in 2022. He said that if congress high command wanted him to contest then he would like to contest from Theog or Shimla urban constituencies.
