Over one Thousand teachers were honoured on Teachers Day at MIT engineering college at Bani in Barsar near here today. The teachers function was organized by social welfare oganisation Sevarth. Prof. Mukesh Pathak Head of Department from IIT Rudaki honoured the teachers on the Teachers day.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Mukesh Pathak said that teachers were real architects of the country. He said that only teacher could build a strong foundation for the brighter future of students. He said that students should never forget teachers who had shaped their future and made them shining stars. He said that his initial schooling was done at government school Bani near here and he was thankful and regardful to all teachers who helped him to grow to this position. To give respect to teachers was our tradition and we all must pledge today to inculcate this tradition into our younger generation.

Sumiti Thakur president of Himachal Pradesh Special Olympic association said that teachers can do miracles and it was evident from the performance of special players in the Olympics. She said that these players were identified and trained by teachers (coaches) to do their best in sports. “No one can achieve success without guidance of teacher and we must respect them”, she added.
Vinod Thakur Spokesman state BJP said that Prof. Mukesh Pathak encouraged him during his studies as engineering student at REC Hamirpur. He said that he could not forget the support and help of his teachers who taught him during his school and college days. He said that he had learnt many political lessons from Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and former CM Prem Kumar Dhumal. He said that it was great experience to see over thousand teachers being honoured on Teachers Day.
