New Delhi, August 18
The daughters of the country waiting to go to the country’s prestigious National Defense Academy have got supreme relief. The Supreme Court has given a big decision in their favor and ordered that women should be allowed to appear in the entrance examination of the National Defense Academy.

Hearing a petition in the Supreme Court seeking permission to allow women candidates to appear in the NDA exam, the court on Wednesday reprimanded the Army. During the hearing of the case, the army said that it is a policy decision not to include women in the NDA exam, on which a division bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Hrikesh Roy said that this policy decision is based on “gender discrimination”.
After which the court, passing its interim order, directed to allow women to appear in the National Defense Academy (NDA) examination to be held on September 5 and said that the admission will be subject to the final order of the court.
