Kinnaur Nigulsari landslide: Six more bodies recovered on the fourth day, 23 dead, rescue underway

Six more bodies were recovered on the fourth day of the search and rescue operation in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district, taking the death toll to 23. Relief and rescue operation is still going on.

Earlier, three bodies were retrieved on the third day on Friday. Some of the passengers of the HRTC bus that fell are still missing. The stone pelting continues at thr spot. On Friday, at 4:38 pm, a woman and a youth pssenger were injured whwn a stone fell on the HRTC bus passing throuh the highway. The injured have been sent home after given treatment at Bhavnagar Health Center.

The sniffer dog involved in the search operation was also injured due to falling stone. The highway is currently closed for movement.

To find the people buried between the stones and the soil, the district administration has installed digging machines and sniffer dogs brought from Shimla were also resorted.
