Kullu, June 24
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that four tunnels will be built between Manali-Leh. These tunnels will be constructed at Shinkula, Baralacha La, Tangalanga La and Lachunga La. Nitin Gadkari, who reached Kullu yesterday on a five-day tour, inspected the Atal Tunnel today. After visiting the tunnel, the Union Minister reached Naggar with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Nitin Gadkari will hold a meeting with CM Jai Ram Thakur at Naggar in Manali. National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) officials will also be present in this meeting.
Nitin Gadkari also said that a corridor will be made between Manali to Delhi, which will reduce the journey by 7 hours. He said that to increase the road infrastructure, Rs 15,000 crore will be given in a year.
Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate and lay foundation of several projects to the tune of Rs 6,155 crore.
