Service by Wife and Daughters Surprised the Public
Shimla, May 31 (QNN)
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and all his family members are dedicated to service of people in the state, while many leaders of ruling and opposition parties were either busy in mudslinging on one another during corona virus pandemic or criticising acts of government. Significantly, the family of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is of four members including CM, his wife Dr. Sadhana Thakur, elder daughter Priyanka Thakur and younger daughter Chandrika Thakur (Doctor trainee). All of them are in action ever since fight against corona virus pandemic was started in the state. Not only his wife but daughters are in no mood to let their father down in this time of struggle.

The working of the CM Jai Ram Thakur took a swift turn when Prime Minister Narender Modi declared Janta Curfew on March 22 following corona virus outbreak. Sensing the threat of spread of infection in the state Jai Ram acted instantaneously and called his all ministerial colleagues and decided to extend the curfew for consecutive three days. He didn’t stop there and this continued daily till now. Leaving no space for lapse he started regular video conferencing with all Deputy Commissioners in the state, meetings with ministers and secretarial staff and interaction with law enforcing authorities. His regular monitoring kept the government machinery on heels to deliver the best with some exceptions too.
Dr. Sadhana Thakur wife of Jai Ram Thakur never skipped to deliver her duty as a doctor in a government clinic along with her duties as Chairperson of Himachal Pradesh Red Cross Society and as a wife and mother of two daughters. Her role and information in some important official decisions of her husband Jai Ram Thakur could not be denied that helped the CM to nip the evil in the bud.

Dr. Priyanka Thakur elder daughter of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur did not run to home following corona virus outbreak. She stood by her profession to serve the patients at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Tanda as internee. Pertinent to mention the young doctor was attending over hundred patients a day at OPD of Medicine department of the college and was standing with her colleagues. Though speaking to her parents almost daily, she never deter from her determination to serve the needy during the pandemic.
Chandrika Thakur the youngest in the family is pursuing her MBBS in her first year is taking care of home affairs as her classes are yet to resume. She is of great help to her mother and helping her in house management at Oak Over, the official residence of Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. It is due to her presence, her mother could manage to look into other courses of duties. Chandrika knows more about her father’s tastes than her mother and decides on the daily menu too. She never missed to ask for a cup of tea or coffee to her father before going to bed.
This certainly be the only family of Chief Minister in the country where all the members have jumped into service of people without fear of CORONA VIRUS pandemic.
Speaking on the issue Jai Ram Thakur said that he is fortunate to have supportive family. He said that everyone in the family is doing his/her duty to deliver best to the expectations of the people. Serving people in need is culture of our society and this must be inculcated in every generation, he added.
