Five more tested positive for corona virus in the state taking the tally of total covid-19 patients to 64. Significantly, Three persons were tested positive for corona virus in Kangra district and two in Hamirpur district, taking the tally of active cases in the state to 23 and total of the state to 64.
Out of three two persons were resident of villages Majherna and Paprola near in Palampur Subdivision while one police personnel was serving at Panchrukhi police station in Kangra district.
Since one of the three was eager to know his corona virus test report and he jumped home quarantine and reached medical college. He was tested positive for corona virus and taken to Covid-19 dedicated hospital without given a chance to take his daily need items. It was learnt that the doctors at Tanda medical college had isolated him until his test was not reported. After being tested positive for corona virus he was shifted to covid-19 dedicated hospital.
Meanwhile, Tanda Medical College was reportedly sealed for general movement and OPD’s that were operating were also closed following unchecked entry of covid-19 patient.
Rakesh Prajapati District Magistrate had urged people to strictly follow home and institutional quarantine and don’t risk lives of others. He said that the administration would itself provide reports to the patients.
In Hamirpur two tested positive:
On the other hand two persons from villages Bajrol aged 50 and Palbhu aged 30 in Sujanpur Subdivision in Hamirpur were tested positive for corona virus. It was learnt that both had come from Delhi on April 30 and their samples were taken on May 09. The total cases from the district had surged to six with two recovered and four active.
Harikesh Meena DM Hamirpur said that both the patients were shifted to covid-19 hospital Bhota. He said that process to collect samples of their primary and secondary contacts was also started. He said that villages around Bajrol and Palbhu would be sealed as containment zones.
