Hamipur: No More CORONA VIRUS Free District

Two from the district found corona positive, district under lens for probable community transmission

The district had come out of the green zone as it was no more corona free district as two residents were tested positive for corona virus. Significantly,  12 samples were sent for testing to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College And Hospital At Tanda. The report of two samples was found positive while ten were reported negative. Both the patients were shifted to Radhaswami Charitable Hospital Bhota the administration yesterday late night.

Notably, the district was free of corona virus until now. The man was from village Jolsappar near here while the woman was a migratory labourer, living in Ward -7 of the town.

Harikesh Meena Deputy Commissioner here said that the district administration had sealed all the borders of the district and no movement is permitted till further orders”. The administration had declared three kilometers around the town as containment zone. While the area upto seven kilometers was declared as buffer zone.  He said that 64 teams and 25 medical officers are assigned the health screening task of 80 thousand people in the containment zone.  The screening had started from today, he added.

Pertinently, both the cases had no travel history of past 30 days. The cases were identified after they came to the Flu clinic of medical college here to for routine check-up. In case administration failed to establish their contact with somebody with travel history, this would be first threat of ‘community transmission’ in the state.

Town went barren after prohibition orders, no Supply of essential items

The supply of essential items was also terminated in the town today.

The town appeared deserted and barren after imposition of prohibition by the district administration today. The district administration imposed strict lock down measures and suspended the relaxation period from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. the banking services and and even door to door supply of essential items was discontinued. The impulsive orders of the administration had gripped the life in fear in the town. The supply of milk was also discontinues leaving parents of young kids in fix.

Harikesh Meena Deputy Commissioner said that the supply of milk would resume from tomorrow as all milk agencies were issued permits for the supply of milk and milk products. (OVER)
