Relief: Only 18 Covid-19 cases in Himachal Pradesh

Hamiprur, April 11 (QNB)

There were only 18 cases of Covid-19 in the state as on date. Significantly, state had registered 32 corona virus positive cases. The news bulletin of the state health department released today evening said that  Nine patients had recovered from the covid-19 where as four had migrated out of the state while one had died.

Notably, there were 5404 persons under observation while 954 were tested for suspected infection in the state. the maximum number of cases 14 were detected in district Una followed by nine in Solan and four each in Kangra and Chamba and one in Sirmour district. The sole corona virus patient who died was from Mcleodganj  in Knagra district. The deceased had come from Singapore earlier in month of March and had not disclosed his illness to local authorities.

Meanwhile, health authorities were monitoring the health of all 18 active corona virus cases in the state.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that people must follow the social distancing to break the chain of virus. He said that government was out to curb the spread of virus at war footing. He said that strict action would be taken against violators of lockdown procedures.
