An democratically elected Congress Working Committee (CWC) could revive Congress party under experienced leadership of interim INC president Sonia Gandhi. This was stated by Vikramaditya Singh MLA Shimla (rural) and general secretary HPCC here today during media interaction. He said that congress would not tolerate any changes in in Section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1972. He said that BJP government in the state was trying to mortgage the interests of the state by giving 22 precious hotels of HPTDC on lease to out siders. He said that the government had turned down the proposal after it was highlighted by media and opposition raised issue in the assembly session. He said that he was in favour of removal of article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir but was surprised by the statements of Sukhbir Badal former Minister of Punjab. He said that Sukhbir Badal immediately remarked on section 118 of HP that protected the rights of poor people of the state.
Vikramaditya said that government had virtually to give relief to disaster hit people during rainy season. He said that government did not released funds to Public Works Department to restore roads that added to the woes of people in the tough time.
Earlier Vikramaditay Singh interacted with the workers of youth congress and congress party. Addressing the workers he said that the time had come when all should work collectively for strengthening the party at grass root level. He said that infighting brought no results and party had faced enough of that. He said that workers should expose the BJP governments at centre and state for anti people policies. The time had come to break the silence and tell people how economy and security of the nation was compromised.
