CCD Founder Dead Body Recovered From Nethravathi River

After a massive search operation over the course of almost 30 hours, the body of Café Coffee Day founder VG Siddhartha was recovered from Nethravathi river near Mangaluru early today morning.

According to resources, the body has been shifted to Wenlock Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted.

The 60-year-old CCD founder has been missing since Monday, when he had asked his driver to take him near the Nethravathi Bridge. It is suspected that he committed suicide by jumping off the bridge.

All CCD outlets will remain shut on Wednesday following his death.

Mangaluru police commissioner (city) Sandeep Patil said,“The body was found floating near Hoige Bazar at around 6.30am. The next process will go as per law and family members have been informed”.
