BJP had decided to increase the membership by 20 percent in state: BJP

HAMIRPUR: BJP had decided to increase the membership by 20 percent in the state. This was stated by Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj Chairman of BJP membership committee and chairman of Kangra Central Cooperative Bank here today. He said that party would move from panchayat to booth level to enroll additional members in the party fold. He said that the BJP was largest political party of the world and adding more members into the party fold would add more feathers to the party.

He said that each constituency unit of BJP would was assigned task of enrolling 6000 membrs. He said that this would add around seven lac more members into party fold. He said that some of the unit heads had agreed to add over 10000 members and this would add bonus to the membership drive. He said that the party was poised to make 1000 active members in each constituency and each active member would enroll 50 primary member to be eligible to be active member.

Speaking on the developments in KCCB Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj said that he was trying to plug the leakages in the bank. He said that stress was on the recovery of Non Productive Accounts. He said that the bank that was a leading bank in the cooperative sector had witnessed tough time but his efforts were to restore the trust and dignity of the institution.

Vijay Agnihotri Vice Chairman of HRTC, Anil Thakur BJP distrcit President and Vijaypal Soharu Secretary State BJP  were also present.
