Mumbai. Looks like it will be Kangana Ranaut versus Hrithik Roshan at the box office in July. According to reports, the makers of Mental Hai Kya, which stars Kangana and Rajkummar Rao in the lead, have pushed the release of the film from June 21 to July 26. That is the same date when Hrithik’s Super 30 is scheduled to hit the screens. A Times of India report, quoting unnamed sources, says that Mental Hai Kya, which was scheduled to release on June 21, will hit the screens on July 26, same as Super 30. Hrithik’s film was earlier scheduled to open on Republic Day (January 26). However, after makers of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, picked the same date for the release of Rani of Jhansi biopic, Super 30’s release was pushed to July 26. Pending post-production work was mentioned as the reason. Sources say that the makers of Super 30 may push their film’s release to August 9 to avoid a clash with Mental Hai Kya. While little is known of the storyline of Mental Hai Kya, the pictures and posters shared by the film’s cast certainly hint at an unconventional plotline and characterization. Super 30 is based on the inspiring tale of math wizard from Bihar, Anand Kumar, who coached students from the backward sections of society to crack the elite IITs. Kangana and Hrithik’s fight dates back to 2016, when in an interview, Kangana spoke about her ‘silly exes’. In response, Hrithik had tweeted that he would rather date the pope than any of the women being mentioned in the media. That set the ball rolling for an open fight, with Kangana accusing Hrithik of dating her behind his wife Sussanne’s back, an allegation Hrithik has denied. He has in turn claimed that he never dated Kangana or knew her beyond their professional commitments.
