Speaker Administered Oath of office to six newly elected MLAs

With this the strength of congress party in the Vidhansabha has increased from 34 to 38 MLAs and the number of BJP MLAs is increased from 25 to 27 in the present house of 65 MLAs as three seats are still vacant in the state assembly.

Kuldeep Singh Pathania Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhansabha administered oath of office to six newly elected MLAs at Vidhansabha complex at Shimla today.

These included Rakesh Kalia from Gagret constituency , Vivek Sharma from Kutlehar, Captain (Retd.) Ranjeet Rana from Sujanpur, Anuradha Rana from Lahaul & Spiti, Sudhir Sharma from Dharamsala and Inderdutt Lakhanpal from Barsar constituency. Notably Rakesh Kalia from Gagret constituency , Vivek Sharma from Kutlehar, Captain (Retd.) Ranjeet Rana from Sujanpur, Anuradha Rana from Lahaul & Spiti had won as congress candidates while Sudhir Sharma from Dharamsala and Inderdutt Lakhanpal from Barsar constituency are of BJP.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, Deputy Speaker Vinay Kumar, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs were also present on the occasion.
