Kiratpur Manali four lane highway would be Open for vehicular traffic from August 6. This was stated by Abid Hussain Deputy Commissioner at Bilaspur here today. He said that this high would reduce distance between Kiratpur and Manali by 60 kilometers. He said that the highway would be opened on trial basis at 8 a.m on August 6 for all types of vehicles. He said that that two toll barriers on the highway one at Baloh and other at Garamora would also be operative too.
DC said that highly sensitive surveillance and speed cameras are installed on the highway to monitor the speed and traffic violations. He said offenders would face online challan as per traffic rules. He said that speed limit on the highway is 60 KMs per hour. He said that the travel time between Kiratpur and Manali would reduce by two.
