A Delegation of Hati Vikas Manch calls on Governor

A delegation of Hati Vikas Manch, Shimla unit of Central Hati Committee, gave a courtesy call to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan today.

The governor congratulated them on getting Tribal status as per the demand of the Hati community.  He said that this was the victory of peaceful and restrained movement.  He said it has been possible as of everyone’s efforts and the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister were themselves in favor of it.  The Governor also accepted the invitation to visit the Giri Par area.

President of the Manch Pradeep Singta and General Secretary Atar Tomar thanked the Governor for granting Tribal status to the Hati community. They said that they have got this right after a long struggle with his cooperation, for which the entire community expresses gratitude to him.  They said that for the first time political will was seen with this decision.  This decision would benefit their future generations, they added.

Hati Vikas Manch also honored the Governor by presenting him with a traditional Dangra and a shawl.

Chief Spokesperson of Manch Dr. Ramesh Singta, Chairman M.R. Sharma, Secretary Suresh Singta,Vice President Madan Tomar were also present on the occasion among others.
