Kullu police slap case: SP Gaurav Singh and CM’S PSO Balwant Singh suspended

A strict action has been taken against the police officers who clashed in front of Chief Minister, during the visit of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Kullu, on Wednesday. Kullu SP Gaurav Singh and Personal Security Officer (PSO) of CM Jai Ram Thakur have been suspended. Additional SP CM Security Brijesh Sood has been relieved from the post of Additional SP CM Security and attached to the Police Headquarters. Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu has confirmed this information.

At the same time, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Central Range Mandi, Madhusudan, who is probing the incident, has recorded the statements of the three accused. According to sources, SP Gaurav, who slapped theBrijesh Sood, said in a statement that in the convoy of the Union Minister’s vehicles, three other vehicles were forcibly included by Additional Superintendent of Police, Chief Minister Security Brijesh Sood, in addition to the prescribed protocol. Even after breaking the protocol, he kept on arguing with them and used abusive words. Because of this he raised his hand on Sood.

At the same time, Brijesh Sood has said that, when his responsibility is the security of the Chief Minister, then how can his vehicle be kept separate from the Chief Minister’s vehicle. The SP slapped him when he questioned him on this.

On the other hand, PSO Balwant Singh, who is seen kicking the SP in the viral video, has said that he was angry as his senior officer was being slapped.
