Centre decides to hold CBSE Class XII exams

A high-level meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today on conducting class 12 board exams remains inconclusive. In the meeting, the government had proposed two options for holding class 12 exams to states, while some states agreed with the options proposed some decline and stated that exams should not be conducted amidst the pandemic, sources revealed.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12th board exams will take place. The Centre is keen on holding the exams.

The format of the same is still being decided. States have been asked to take their own decision based on the local conditions.

However, the CBSE is yet to finalise the Class 12 board exam dates and the modes of exam.
