Himachal Pradesh would observe “Corona curfew” from 6 AM of 7th May, to 6 AM of 17h May, 2021. The official release of the state government said that the curfew would primarily aim at containing the spread of COVID-19 disease.
The decision to impose this curfew was taken in the all party meeting called by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on may 05 and cabinet meeting there after.
It was directed that during this period vaccination would continue in places established by Department of Health and family welfare. People would be allowed to travel to the designated CVC in their vehicles/ taxis/ auto rickshaws by following guidelines of corona virus.
It was said that during the curfew period, assembly of more than 5 persons shall be treated as unlawful, however, a maximum of 20 persons would be allowed in gatherings related to marriage /funerals with permission of District Administration.
The order said that government and Private offices/establishments would remain closed and employees would work from home and would not leave their head
quarters without permission. All educational, training, couching and institutions would remain closed until May 31 but MBBS (4th & 5h year), BDS (4 year), Nursing classes (3rd Year) would continue.
Physical conduct of examinations by state/ national/inter-national bodies would be allowed on a case to case basis by the respective Departments with due intimation to all concerned authorities. There would be complete shutdown of cinema halls, malls, market complexes, bazaars, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, assembly halls, and related activities.
