150000 Benefited from Home Delivery Supply Chain in Hamirpur

More than 1.5 lac people were benefited from door-to-door supply arrangement in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The district administration here provided ration to more than 43 thousand poor and needy beneficiaries during the prohibitory period.

The campaign to supply essential commodities at the door has now gained momentum. The Door-to-door delivery of groceries, milk and milk products, fruit-vegetables and cooked food packets, etc. is being done by the district administration during the relaxation period. So far 167500 kilogram fruits and vegetables, 7600 kilogram grocery and ration, 39,963 liters milk, 8091 milk products, 3001 bread packets and 1674 cooked food packets were supplied to people at home.

Apart from this, home delivery facility was provided through authorized vendors, for which an online demand system was established.

Harikesh Meena Deputy Commissioner said that this system has also yielded good results. he said that this enabled people to buy other goods including medicines easily. He urged people to maintain social distancing during relaxation period while they are allowed to visit markets for purchase of essential item.
