Shimla: Powerboat is going to be run in a koldam. The transport department is busy completing the formalities of construction of four jetties along the dam where this jetty will be built near Tattapani, Sunni, Cauldam. People will climb on the boat from these jetty. The department has prepared its draft and sent a proposal of 5 crores to the Land Water Ways Authority. The government will not wait for this money from the authority, rather the department itself is going to spend the amount on its construction. t Department that apart from Koldam, water transport system has to be started at Chamera, Bhakra, and other dams. 29 to 30 crores have to be spent for this. The transportation department has also done a feasibility study. Now its DPR is to be prepared. Director of the transport department, Captain JM Pathania, told that the transport department will either buy the boat itself or invite tenders from companies. These formalities are to be completed from next month.
