Shimla: During the Question Hour on the third day of the winter session, Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri raised a case of molestation of female students in the school in Haroli area of Una district. On this, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the accused teacher has been suspended.
Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that teachers who molest girls will now be suspended. A video of a separate mid-day meal being given to SC children in a school in Saraj area of Mandi district also went viral. On this, the Education Minister said that a high-level inquiry has been ordered into the caste-based discrimination case.
Chief teacher Rita Devi has been suspended. Deputy Director Mandi is investigating the case and will submit a report to
the government today. The government will take strict action against the accused till this evening. No member recommends teachers with such questionable image.
In such cases, teachers can also be suspended. On Tuesday, in a government school in Haroli, a case of molestation of students was found in the principal’s room. In this case, the police have arrested the accused teacher.
